Magic town

Palizada is a city in the Mexican state of Campeche. It is situated in the south-west the state. It serves as the municipal seat for the surrounding municipality of the same name. Palizada was named a "Pueblo Mágico" in 2010.
The area where today Palizada was inhabited by indigenous groups Nahuatl and Chontal, which belonged to the chieftainship of Acalán Tixchel, however the rest of the state of Campeche where Mayan culture developed.


LOCATION

It is on tha Banks of the extension. of the usumancita river, the mounth of which is given in terms lagoons. It is situated in the south-west the state.



CULTURE
The culture of Palizada is very rich because
this town is very colofur and the people
in the town are very nice.
In Palizada can find various handicrafts like wooden objects, embroidered hand gear making, chocolate making, traditional candy making, bread making, cheese making, development of networks, saddlery and hammock weaving. In the community of Santa Isabel is a crocodile farm, which in time will provider leather material for handicrafts such as bags, wallets, belts, bags, boots, etc..
 




 
TOURISM
 
Palizada itself represents a natural attraction because it is a picturesque Town where the streets and houses of French tile roofs give a magic touch, so it is a delight to contemplate the Palisade River and watch the people pass through by canoe or boat to go home that is located across the river. The friendliness and hospitality of the paliceños is the best of this magical town by nature.

 There are many places that you can visit as shown below.
Parque Benito Juarez, was begun on May 3, 1902 and was seen in mid-1904 form. In the park photo1 shown in 1922

Parroquia de San Joaquín, begun in 1835, located opposite the park Juarez is one of the most important places in Palizada. Its Santo Patrono San Joaquin was carved by sculptor Andrew Constant French origin.
 
Freedom Park, located outside the Palisade River is a place that every visitor should know, is a scale replica of the Statue of Liberty in New York, granted to the town of Palisade by President Benito Juarez in prize to the important services rendered to the nation and to honor the men who gave their lives for the sake of national sovereignty.
Palizada de cocodrilos is a a.m.u. (Environmental Management Unit) granted by the Federal Government to ejidatarios of Santa Isabel and San Juan, is a project in which, with the support of Biologists Moreletti Crocodiles reproduce for commercial use.
You can spend some quality time in the company of family and also raise awareness among children of the care of the environment, including, upon request, you can enjoy grilled bream or alligator gar, caught directly in the lagoon.
 
GRASTRONOMIT
 we can find delicious dishes such as turtle in his blood, hicotea stewed, tamales guao also tripe, gar patties, chicken, or beef cazon, casting mass, sweet corn, chicken or pork, crappie fried, grilled or broth, beans with pork, venison stew mole or spatter and, among others.
  Although in less proportion, find milk sweets, chocolate, papaya, cocoyol, mango, pumpkin, coconut, cassava, plum, nance, banana, rice pudding, blancmange, merengue, sigh, soursop pacharelas and pasta, and drinks such as : ripe mango or green gruel and rice dough, white or cocoa pozol, nance, coconut water and fruit waters of the region in general.

A magic town.

                                            
For its beauty and traditions,Palizada in the state o Campeche, was declared in 2011 Magic Town.Those who visit this picturesque site is opposite a real chest of surprises.Is distinguished by the way that has preserved its traditional architectural heritage, manifested, for example, in buildings with French tile roof.In the center of Paradise, opposite the palaza de armas, is distinguished San , with the same age of the people whose fundation happened in 1792.
